Nature & Forest Therapy Walk with Kelly Kiss

The practice of Forest Therapy is a mindful “immersion” into the space of trees, plants and the beings of the forest. Spending quiet, thoughtful time in the forest feels in many ways, like coming home to a peaceful place inside your heart.  Walking slowly over a gentle landscape (1 km or less), makes this practice accessible to people of all fitness levels, ages, and abilities. Kelly will offer you unique invitations to deepen your connection with your senses.
Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or Forest Bathing, and means "to bathe in the atmosphere of the forest”.  Bathing your senses, deepens your connection and relationship with oneself, and nature.

Restore & ReSource with Harriet Ross

Through conscious connection with body, mind and spirit you will guided to root into centred presence and to connect with your sense of deep embodied, wholeness. Beginning with gentle movements and breathing practices we'll prepare body and mind to feel open, easeful and centred (movement options given to suit most abilities).  We then focus on heart-centred Wisdom practices and meditative Awareness practices (done seated and/or lying down) which support you to restore a deep sense of connection and oneness with life.

I would like to acknowledge the land where I am living ~the unceded territory and ancestors of the Coast Salish Peoples of Salt Spring Island and surrounding areas who continue to use and steward the lands and waters of the Salish Sea. These include the traditional land of the local Hul'qumi'num Treaty Group (Cowichan, Halalt, Lyackson, Cowichan Lake, Penelakut), and Saanich First Nations
(Tsartlip, Tseycum, and Tswaout).
