Guided Forest & Nature Therapy walks with Kelly Hutchison, ANFT Certified Forest Therapy Guide. Experience some of Vancouver Island’s oldest forests and natural beauty while deepening your connection with yourself and nature. The practice of Forest Therapy is an “immersion” into the space of trees, plants and the beings of the forest and is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku. Research shows that if practiced regularly, forest bathing can decrease stress, boost immunity, heighten mood, enhance creativity, improve sleep, and promote overall peace and calmness in your daily life. Learn more about forest therapy here.
For as long as Kelly can remember she has had a deep connection to trees and has been forest bathing. In the summer of 2018 she travelled to California to acquire her formal certification through the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy Guides & Programs. Kelly also holds a twenty hour remote wilderness first aid and CPR training through Red Cross.
